We produce IQF frozen lemon slices for beverage manufacturers, tea brands, foodservice distributors, frozen fruit importers and food processors.

Our work begins with the customer's application. Before production, we confirm whether the lemon slices will be used in tea, bottled beverages, cocktails, foodservice packs or further food processing. This information helps us select suitable raw materials and determine the slice shape, thickness, diameter and packing method.

Product Category: Frozen Fruit

Not every lemon lot is suitable for frozen slicing.

For this product, we prefer lemons with a stable shape, suitable firmness and relatively even diameter. Fruit that is too soft is difficult to cut cleanly, while fruit with serious peel damage may affect the appearance of the finished slices.

Before processing, the incoming lemons are checked for maturity, peel condition, firmness, decay and mechanical damage. Raw materials are also graded by size when the order has a defined diameter requirement.

The variety and growing season may affect peel color, seed content, acidity and fruit diameter. For industrial orders, we recommend confirming an acceptable product range rather than requiring every slice to look exactly the same.

Washing and Preparation

Accepted lemons are washed before cutting. The stem ends, damaged parts and unsuitable fruit are removed during preparation.

Because frozen lemon slices are generally supplied with the peel, peel cleaning is an important part of the process. The washing and inspection requirements are arranged according to the confirmed product specification and destination-market requirements.

After preparation, the lemons are transferred to the slicing line without unnecessary storage.

Slice Shape and Size Customization

We can process lemons into full round slices or half slices.

Round slices are commonly used in tea, cocktails, sparkling drinks and products where the fruit remains visible. Half slices are easier to place in smaller cups, bottles and portion packs.

Slice thickness is confirmed according to the application. Thinner slices are suitable for beverages that require faster flavor release, while thicker slices generally provide a more visible fruit piece and better handling during packing.

The final diameter depends on the natural fruit size. When a customer requires a specific diameter range, the raw lemons are graded before cutting.

For projects using automatic filling equipment, the customer should provide the maximum acceptable diameter and thickness. A sample test is recommended before bulk production.

Cutting and Manual Sorting

The prepared lemons are cut according to the approved specification.

During sorting, we remove slices that are clearly too thick, too thin, badly damaged or seriously irregular. Peel condition, flesh condition and visible defects are also checked.

Lemons naturally contain seeds. If the customer requires control of exposed seeds, the requirement must be confirmed before production. Completely seedless slices should not be assumed unless a practical acceptance standard has been agreed.
